On/Off-Campus Volunteering and Community Service [Fall 2009]

Welcome to The AiCE Committee Website

The Outreach Committee was formed to function as a clearinghouse for volunteer programming at The New England Institute of Art, and to create additional community service experiences for members of our college. The committee helps match students, faculty, and staff with the volunteer, mentor, and charity initiatives of non-profit organizations in Greater Boston that are best matched to our programs and students.

The Committee has initiated a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Roxbury, which brings youth to our campus for workshops taught by our students. These programs allow our students to share their expertise, and have included drawing, photography, writing, and graphic design. The Outreach Club, run by Elizabeth McConnell, participated for a second year as ‘Team Awesome’ in the Boston Aids Walk. We are open to new community partners, and welcome new ideas. The Committee is growing and this website is the first of many vehicles where anyone can find, at any time, a way to give back to the community.
